Grab the latest version below, or an earlier one if you need to roll
back. Updating is safe. Extract the new package over your existing install and re-run
setup. Your database and .env files are never touched.
New: Polygon.io bulk chart-data backfill (resumable, with plan-tier-aware date skipping) for 1-minute charts on older trades. Symbol watermark on charts (placement, font and color are configurable), a vertically resizable chart, and a wider "Zoom to trade" view. Risk per trade is now remembered per portfolio. Faster trade pages and CSV imports, plus fixes to multi-line CSV fields, tag search and the Simulator drill-down.
New: Simulator - test trailing-stop strategies (R-multiple staircase, ATR, Moving-average/VWAP, Candle-N-back) against your real trade history, with a per-trade drill-down so every number can be checked against the actual trades behind it. Automatic chart-data backfill scheduling. Fixed a real TraderSync import bug (wrong price columns) and several chart-data backfill gaps.
Minor improvements.
Unzip the download anywhere - your Documents folder, a USB drive, wherever you want the app to live.
From inside that folder, run setup.ps1 (Windows) or setup.sh
(macOS/Linux). It creates a virtual environment, installs everything, and runs the
database migrations. Needs Python 3.12+ already installed - if it isn't, setup tells
you clearly instead of failing halfway through.
Use the “Setup Log Pro” Desktop shortcut setup creates (Windows), or run
start.ps1 / start.sh directly. Your browser opens to the app
automatically.
The “Setup Log Pro – Stop” shortcut, or just close the terminal window it's running in.
Everything runs on your own machine - no account, no cloud service to sign up for. Full details are in the README included in the zip. Don't have Python yet? Grab it free from python.org (check “Add python.exe to PATH” during install) - it only takes a minute.
Unzip the new download directly into your existing install folder (same location, overwrite existing files) - don't extract to a new folder and copy things over by hand.
setup.ps1 / setup.sh again, from that folder. It's
always safe to re-run - it reuses your existing venv and .env,
installs any new dependencies, and applies any new database migrations. Don't
skip this step: starting the app without re-running setup first can show an
error until you do.
The Desktop shortcut, or start.ps1 / start.sh
directly. Your trade data and settings are exactly as you left them.
db.sqlite3 (your trade data) and .env
(your secret key and any API keys) are never part of a downloaded package, so
extracting over your install in step 1 never touches them.
